Aperture

Playing around with Photoshop again...found this picture on Art Deviant (http://browse.deviantart.com/photography/journalism/#/d54ey6c)  beautiful photo by woman, Tenori-Tiger from Russia....anyway...used it as reference. The photo outdoes the sketch but best I can do now... Took me about 4 hours...lets do the 3 day test...see if I like it after 3 days....Let me know if anyone ever sees this by dropping a comment...

Here is a detail

Here is the full view...

Super Cow

Super Cow is the creation of a very dedicated PUBLIC school teacher my son had for 2nd grade.  He makes teaching fun enjoyable for the kids.  I added a little bulk to his muscles, and I never actually met the flying pig.

ink work

Mother's day

Sat down and did a little sketching with Natalie.  She drew a flower and I drew her.

On the Town

Here is a fun look at mobility in the future...photoshop...

ozvan

Goofy buggy again for fun...late night sketch ....I like the front end a bit and the rest is just rendering practice in photoshop...I don't know ....time for bed...see if this posts survives the 3 day test...

Zoom zoom

A little photoshop,  trying to get back into sketching...This is more fun with rendering than any design exploration.  Tried to simplify the shapes and patterns.  Having fun with highlights. Feels like an old canson rendering. ...Tried to stay flexible and not get to tight...This was a quickie before heading home ....I hate the evening drive...more later

Dancer

I put my own spin on the famous story about the stone carver who fell in love with his creation.  Took the kids to bed and told of the carver who, although created beautiful art, was unable to enjoy his lonely life.  His king demanded more work until one night the artist created a statue that captured his heart.  The next morning the sculptor was gone and all that was left was a statue in the town square of a couple dancing....dancing to the music the artist had heard from his window night after night as he labored.  .....well Ethan liked it even if Natalie fell asleep early.

Breeze

Trying a different a pallet knife brush for this study...about a 30min rough just goofing around....I used the pallet knife for both erasing and color...with a little airbrush for highlights...also a custom smoke for the background.
To late to blend and clean up, time for bed... but I stoked up the saturation and contrast and I like some of the results...I need to go back and detail this some time...good night...

William Tell in Progress...

The left side is a scan from my sketchbook done in marker.  The Second page pen work done in photoshop.  Still trying to find the correct pens and inking style but starting to mix up line weights for interest.
The evil king feels the poor farmers turning to archery are a danger to his knights.  They present a threat he must remove.  In desperation the king rounds up all the villagers and prepares to make their best archer, William, and example.  Mocking poor William by saying he would give him his crown if he could shoot the apple off his son's head with one shot.  The king has second thoughts seeing the determination and conviction in Williams eyes but the day is William's .....and the rest is history...or at least my version....

William Tell

Told the story of William Tell for bed time a few nights ago.  I took quite a few liberties in the telling,  but had fun with it.  I drew up some panels also to follow soon ....I wanted to refine the original sketches in my sketchbook so I will show bits out of order for now...here are a few details done during a meetings today....quick studies but I had fun....

Meeting notes

In a 3 hour meeting I found a chance to work on faces.  This was a presenter during a recent marketing meeting and a woman sitting across the way. Using a "uni-ball" pen, great for a thick bold line.  I need to get back to this site but have been focused on learning 3dsMax, hope to post something when I get some interesting images.  Got to go help Ethan with his 2nd grade poster, more later.

EVB - Evil Villain in Black

Characters from my son's 2nd grade class.  He has a very creative teacher!  Thought it would make a funny poster.  Not finished yet needs some clean up.  Photoshop with filler brush mostly...not enough textures and I am very timid with color. Been a while since my last post.  I need to get motivated again...back to work after the holidays.  Happy New year!

2nd Grade Fun

Did a little sketch inspired by my son's 2nd grade teacher.  The EVB is a villain that visits the classroom.  A lot of fun.

School Plan
